Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Ming Meets with Foreign Minister Sam Kutesa of Uganda

On March 17, 2014, Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Ming met with a visiting delegation headed by Foreign Minister Sam Kutesa of Uganda. Both sides had an exchange of views on China-Africa cooperation and hot-spot issues in Africa.

Sam Kutesa said that China has played an important role in the process of realizing independence and development in Africa. The African countries, including Uganda, attach great importance to Africa-China cooperation, and hope China will continue to support the cause of peace and development in Africa.

Zhang Ming introduced the relevant situation of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. He said that China is willing to make joint efforts with all African countries including Uganda, to continue the deepening of China-Africa strategic partnership and push for the realization of comprehensive development in Africa.
