Recently, Chilean President Lagos has sent a telegram to President Hu Jintao, expressing sympathy over the loss of life caused by SARS to the Chinese people. He said that the Chilean government and people support the Chinese people's fight against SARS and wishing China early success of the measures it has taken.

Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski said in his letter to President Hu Jintao, that SARS is a common threat to the humankind and it is the responsibility of all the countries to eradicate the epidemic. The Macedonian people support efforts by the Chinese government and people against SARS and strongly believe that China will claim victory over the epidemic.
