On May 26, 2003, Chairman of the commission of Arab diplomatic envoys in China Muftah O. Madi, who is also Libyan ambassador to China, presented a personal donation of RMB 52,000 yuan of all the Arab diplomatic envoys to Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Yang Wenchang so as to support the Chinese people’s fight against SARS.
